School Council

Each year, the children hold elections to nominate their class councillors, who then make up the School Council.  The School Council meet regularly to discuss issues which are brought up by themselves, their peers and staff. They have organised fund-raising projects including cake sales, dressing-up days and colouring competitions. They have also initiated change in the local community – petitioning local companies to reduce plastic waste and ensuring plastic pens in school are recycled.

The School Council work closely with Mrs. Riches and the Headteacher and they have been involved in showing prospective teachers around the school and inviting and meeting local council candidates into school, to discuss their work.

FSA

The Friends of the School Association (FSA) is a registered charity. It exists primarily to raise funds that can be used by the school to enhance the education of our children.

This aim is achieved through activities such as children’s discos, book sales, ladies night, auctions, quiz nights and a Christmas and Summer Fayre. These are enjoyed by all concerned and bring parents, children, teachers and governors together with a common purpose.

The funds raised recently have been used to purchase both educational and recreational equipment.

The association is run by parents. If you would like to become involved in any way with helping to organise events or feel you can assist in any way, please contact us at the school.
