Year 6 is taught by Mrs March Monday to Thursday and Mrs Bennett on a Friday. A Learning Support Assistant also works within the classroom throughout the week.
Year 6 begin their year with a residential trip to a PGL centre. The few days away will be full of fun challenges and activities. The children will have an amazing experience and will achieve a real sense of team work, encouragement and support.
In Year 6 our topics include Conflict, Kensuke’s Kingdom and the Ancient Egyptians. Within our topic work we cover aspects of the curriculum such as History, Geography, Art, Drama, Music, Computing and Design and Technology. Children in Year 6 also continue to develop their skills in PE, Science and French during the year.
During May, the children in Year 6 sit their SATs. More information will be given nearer the time but at St Edward’s we aim to send every child to secondary school well prepared, both academically and socially.
