Safeguarding
Designated Safeguarding Leads
All staff and volunteers at school are regularly trained in safeguarding and know that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. If you have any concerns about a child or member of staff, then please speak to one of the designated safeguarding leads:
Designated Safeguarding Lead: Mrs Lacey
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead: Mrs Muckle.
Alternatively you can email concerns to dsl@stedwards-cd.leics.sch.uk
Safeguarding and Anti-Bullying Governor
Elizabeth Mandeville is our named governor for safeguarding and anti-bullying who ensures that the school acts to prevent and tackle all forms of bullying.
We have a number of policies that support safeguarding in school:
Child protection and safeguarding policy 2024-25
Digital Citizenship and E-Safety Policy
As a school within Leicestershire, we are part of Operation Encompass. Operation Encompass directly connects the police with schools to secure better outcomes for children who are subject or witness to police-attended incidents of domestic abuse. Rapid provision of support within the school environment means children are better safeguarded against the short, medium and long-term effects of domestic abuse.
